Sermon Notes – gRace Part 3: Gracism, A New Way Forward

In this sermon series we are examining how the gospel must influence how we understand race, community and multi-cultural expressions of faith. In week one we simply sought to build a theological conviction that shows that God calls his people away from homogeny and towards an evangelistic form of diversity, that shows his glory and grace to a world that desperately needs it displayed. In week 2 we pressed a bit further as we looked at the church in Ephesus and the challenges it faced. Paul had strong words to divided Christians that are really helpful for us today.

In this final instalment we looked at the complex issue of privilege and how people can live in the reality of it. I spoke quite a lot about repentance, and that isn’t featured strongly in the notes.

You can find audio and video of the sermon here.
